An advancement in waxing technology, Film Wax is a hybrid wax. It is lightweight and spreadable, but doesn’t require a wax strip for removal. The ultra-thin application makes it a very economical choice. Having a low working temperature, it is especially gentle on the skin. Harley Film Wax must be used in conjunction with Pre-Waxing Oil, which creates a lipid barrier between the wax and the skin, allowing for easy removal without pulling on the skin. Another attribute that makes Film Wax unique is its ability to shrink-wrap around the hair. This enables it to remove hair as short as 1mm when used correctly.
Place Film Wax pellets into a wax heater on a low to moderate heat setting. Stir it occasionally to get an even consistency. Take care not to overheat the wax. When it is the consistency of thick paint or honey, test on the inside of your wrist. If the wax creates threads, it is not warm enough. If it runs off the spatula, it is too hot. Adjust the heater until it reaches the right temperature.
Prepare the skin using Cleanser & Toner to hygienically clean, then apply a small amount of Pre-Waxing Oil with a cotton pad. Spread Film Wax in a thin layer, going with the direction of hair growth. Be sure to leave an edge at the end to assist with removal.
As soon as the wax becomes firm and no longer sticks to your fingers, flick up the edge. Support the skin with one hand, then remove it like you would with hot wax. Immediately apply firm pressure after removal to calm the skin. Apply After Wax Oil or Aloe Soothing Gel afterwards to soothe and heal skin.
